ILC-CASP has
been working with
Sullivan
EurAsia (part of Sullivan University System of Louisville,
Kentucky, USA) to develop training programs in basic healthcare
provision. With the strongly growing Indian economy, with the
consequent demand for better healthcare provision both organisations
felt that there was a strong desire to look at the medium and
long-term healthcare training needs of the India to ensure the
people of India had appropriately trained healthcare staff.
After numerous discussions with eminent individuals and
organisations they decided to
jointly constitute an informal India Healthcare
Training Think-Tank comprising of members drawn from various
relevant prestigious Indian and International Institutions who have the
relevant experience and expertise to contribute to the thought
processes.
The
Think-Tank is constituted to deliberate on issues related to
Indian healthcare
training and how the members can help improve existing training
services by recommending actions to improve training programs in
healthcare, such as Elderly care, Disability and child
care.
The Think-Tank is constituted under the guidance and leadership
of Dr. S D G Emeritus President - ILC-CASP, Pune and Dr P A
Quantock, Chairman of The Foundation for Educational
Partnerships and Executive Director of Sullivan EurAsia.
The
Foundation for Educational Partnerships acts as Secretariat
to the Think-Tank.
